Jen Bolyard - Co-Owner- Administrator

Jennifer Bolyard is a Licensed and dedicated Massage Therapist with 4+ years of experience in providing therapeutic and relaxation services to a diverse clientele.

Jennifer completed a 500 hour accredited massage therapy program, specializing in anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology, and is proficient in Swedish, Therapeutic, Deep Tissue, Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage, and prenatal techniques. Additional certification in Myofascial, Oncology, Thai Stretching, and Cranial Sacral along with cupping, gua sha, heated bamboo, and trigger point and reflexology therapies.

Jennifer taught 3 sessions of A&P at Body & Soul School and is also the current owner of Body & Soul Massage Center. She is experienced in Evaluating Client medical histories and tailoring treatments, and is passionate about relieving tension and boosting overall client wellness. She enjoys teaching the art of Massage Therapy and is dedicated to the next generations of Massage Therapists. 

Jennifer is the administrator and co-owner of Body & Soul Massage School.

Jess

Jess Eaton Co-Owner - Director

Jess, a native Wichitan, is a full time LMT of 4 years and has experience assessing the needs of her clients to provide the desired outcome.

 Jess has completed the 500-hour Massage Therapy course at Body & Soul School of Massage and is well versed in Swedish, Therapeutic, Deep Tissue, Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Hot Stone, Pre-Natal and Post-Natal.  Her other credentials include certification in Myofascial Release, Cupping, Gua Sha, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Thai Massage, Shiatsu, Reiki I & II, Reflexology, Bach Flower Essence, and Lomi Lomi Hawaiian Temple Massage. 

She first experienced the benefits of massage as a teenager, both as a recipient and a provider, fostering a lifelong wish to help others feel better. She spent over 10 years as an educator for the Wichita School District and loves teaching. As a massage therapist, she is dedicated to her work and as a teacher, she is committed to gaining and sharing knowledge with her students. 

 Jess believes in the power of massage therapy to make a positive difference to the mind, body, and soul of both the recipient and practitioner. 

 Jess is the director and co-owner of Body & Soul Massage School. 

Jennifer G

Jennifer Gillispie - Instructor

Jennifer earned her science degree from Kansas State University and had taken 600 hours of training from the Milwaukee School of Massage. She was part of the cadaver team at KSU and assisted in teaching the human body to undergraduates. Her background in the sciences, specifically human anatomy, as well as the healing arts give her insight into the knowledge therapists need to know for their anatomy and physiology in this field.

She has been a practicing massage therapist for more than 15 years and has earned additional certifications in Hot Stone Massage, Reiki I and II, Structural Integration, Deep Tissue Massage, Chair Massage, Spontaneous Muscle Release Therapy, ReflexologyMyofascial Release I and II, Unwinding, Thai Massage, Water Release Therapy, and Watsu.

 

Janna

Janna Akins

Janna has an extensive background in the healing arts and holds a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, Iridology, and Homeopathy.

 A native to West Texas, the southwest influence is prominent in her life.  Janna began her study of natural remedies and herbs as a young child with her grandmother and spent two years in Florida studying Native American herbs. When she moved to Kansas, she was adopted into a Pottawattamie family with a Native American medicine woman as her new sister. She is a Reiki Master and a Master Herbologist.

 Janna has more than 1,000 hours of training and has traveled throughout much of the United States to continue her education in the healing arts. Her other credentials include certification in La Stone Massage, Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Massage, Thai Massage, Swedish Massage, Bach Flower Essence, Lomi Lomi Hawaiian Temple Massage, and Fijian Barefoot Massage. 

 Janna believes it takes a special kind of person to make a successful career of massage therapy.  “It has to be in your heart to want to help others.  If you have that, then you can be a wonderful therapist because the caring will come right through your hands,” she says. As a massage therapist for over a decade, her dedication to her work and continuing education brings a wealth of knowledge to her students.
